It's an amazing feeling when you travel to a place and it takes you back in time to another reality.
In February I got the opportunity to travel far away from my day to day routine and "Parisian life". I manage to go to #Agadez, to stay and live with the #Touareg during 3 weeks so I could immerse in their culture, live like them & learn from them.
They are known as the "forgerons" the men who work with steel. They are one of the most fascinate artisans I've met so far. Their hands and their eyes just tell you so much from their beautiful carisma and simple life. Their jewellery is an art. They mainly make silver jewellery with beautiful stones. They hand-engrave their adventures in the desert, the stories of the caravans and the path of the stars.
I immediately felt in love with their work and talent.
I had the amazing opportunity to be received by Komin in his 'atelier' workshop- where he taught me, and guided me through every step on how to make a silver ring. This was my first jewellery class and it was a completely dream come true, we worked for 3 hours, we sat on the floor during this whole time, traditional Touareg music was on the radio, we shared some laughs and some tea, while we advanced on our little piece of art little by little.
